Some branches of Science are trusted because they deliver results that cannot be doubted

They have clearly demonstrated their worth, not by statistics, but by being able to be directly observed by the common person.

While other branches are distrusted because the only evidence of their value is the word of those selling products, not something immediately demonstrable, such as Wi-Fi, bridges, tvs, computers, car's, etc.
