Farming, mercury and autism - CAROL GARNIER DUTRA

Farming started to change in the 1930's; Mercury Fungicide; the First 11 Autistic Children; with Dr. Kanner at Johns Hopkins...
.
I remember when I was a child and read how farmers rotated their crops, growing certain crops and then plowing them under the soil to put the nutrients from those crops into the soil for the crops they grew next, the crops they really wanted to harvest.
.
Farming started to change in the 1930's with experiments using Mercury based fungicides in our environment, and on our food crops. The 1930's years were also the time of the 'Dust Bowl' which was perhaps the worst farming tragedy to hit the Mid-United States.

The first cases of Autism in growing children were diagnosed in 1943.

The Autistic child I read about and found most interesting was named Frederick and he was case 2 of 11 children that exhibited unusual behavior who was taken to Dr. Leo Kanner for a diagnoses. Dr. Kanner was a psychiatrist who practiced at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland., and it was Dr. Kanner who named this new disease he found in these children, 'Autism'.
.
Frederick, case 2, was the child of Frederick L. Wellman, the renowned researcher, who worked with organic Mercury Fungicide during the time his son was 'in vitro' in 1936. At this time the father was working in a pine forest experimenting with organic Mercury Fungicide. This child was the first exposed to organic Mercury Fungicide and it was most likely from his father's work clothing, and it was while he was still 'in vitro'. The child's mother suffered with kidney problems, while she was carrying the child. Kidney issues are one of the symptoms of Mercury poisoning in an adult, much as kidney issues (needing dialysis) are a problem today due to, among other causes, Glyphosate herbicide contamination of our environment and our food.
.
Because the first doctor to see the first Autistic children was a physiatrist he believed that the children he was seeing were all having only emotional issues, he did not realize that their emotional issues stemmed from their being poisoned by Mercury. One of the main symptoms Dr. Kanner observed in all of these children was that they were obsessed over 'objects' but 'ignored human beings'. That is a 'classic' symptom of Autism as we know it today.

Dr. Kanner noticed that the parents of the Autistic children he was treating were all college-educated and career-oriented lawyers, psychiatrists, scientists. Dr. Kanner believed that the parents were to blame for the children's illness, he called the parents "emotionally refrigerated", he believed a lack of love and caring from the parents was to blame for the children's strange behaviors.

Mercury fungicides were banned in the United States thirty five (35) years ago, yet they have a 'life' in the soil of sixty five (65) years. Today, we are still growing crops in these Mercury contaminated soils. People are still getting toxic Mercury in food grown in these soils. Add to that the Mercury load from certain species of fish that contain copious amounts of Mercury, and are consumed by people, including pregnant women, and you have a recipe for disaster.

Funny thing that I noticed years ago when I did research on this cause (Mercury poisoning) of Autism, is that Autism, for many years, appeared to be reserved mainly for the children of people that were 'well off' at least this was the case here in California, where for many years the bulk of Autism cases were centered in a place called 'Marin County'. Marin County is one of the places here in California where the residents enjoy the status of living where many of them are quite wealthy.
Because I live in California, I would often hear in the 70's and 80's on KGO radio/TV how Autism cases in my state appeared to be centered mainly in Marin County. I kept asking myself; WHY, why that one location?

Many Marin County residents employ maids, servants including 'gardeners' to tend to their yards and their 'professional' gardeners use insecticides, fungicides, herbicides in their yards' environment to create the 'perfect lawn' . No one paid any attention to the harm caused by the toxic poisons to pets and children that played on those 'perfect lawns'. This is now making me think about how Roundup/Glyphosate plays out in this scheme. Roundup/Glyphosate is used extensively in our environment, as we are all well aware of. On the surface it appears to be one of the least toxic insecticides but that is deceiving. Glyphosate is one of the most toxic man made chemicals ever introduced into our environment.
.
All forms of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides are often referred to by the name 'insecticides' for simplicity's sake, even though they have different purposes.

We all know by now that Glyphosate and all other herbicides kill life, all life, that is their purpose. If a crop isn't genetically modified to resist the herbicides, if it isn't GMO then the herbicide will kill. We have to get rid of all herbicides, ban them from being used in all food crops just as we got rid of Mercury being used on our farms. If this does not happen, much worse than Autism is on the horizon for all of us.

God Help Us All.

Psychologist are still thought of as the main cure for Autism. Most of us on these FB pages know it takes a lot more than behavior modification to cure an Autistic child. A diet that is free and clear of GMO food, free of toxic herbicides including Glyphosate has to be followed in order for an Autistic child to have a chance at recovery.

Mercury, which is still abundant in our environment, not just in vaccines, has to be avoided.
Autistic children are often not able to express how they feel the pain of Acid Reflux, this is because they are often not able to communicate with other people. They express their anguish at being in pain by 'acting up', screaming, crying and banging their heads into walls.

This emotional behavior is diet related.
