The primary role of the domicile is twofold:
1. To protect us from the elements- sun, rain, wind, wild animals and insects...
And,
2. To generate privacy, so we have somewhere out of sight to go to, to be alone with our thoughts.
A third use is to provide a space for communion to occur between people and beings.
