Social engineering disguised as philanthropy

It's wrong to call a foundation "philanthropic" when it's aim is to manipulate various societies into moving towards the founder's political and philosophic goals. It's just social engineering to me. The same with the Rockefeller and Carnegie foundations that were used to promote Rockefeller business interests around the world by reshaping societies to become more amenable to them.
