Reasons why people avoid vaccines:

1. Fear of foreign contaminants, like the cancer causing SV40 found in early polio vaccines, or other substances found in vaccines, such as aluminum, mercury, etc., that makes them seem like an unsafe choice.
2. Belief they are unnecessary, either because of a lack of fear of the target disease, or because of trust in their ability to maintain health without need to resort to vaccines.
3. Lack of faith in the institutions, corporations and individuals that bring vaccines to market, and promote them, resulting in a lack of trust in the vaccines, themselves.
