Are young children being brain damaged en masse?

I see a certain look in the eyes of many young children, especially boys- a tired, hooded eye look that suggests a significant portion of the child's mind- the higher mind- is not fully functioning. They look zombied out- like they are in a drone state.

Is this due to poisoning, particularly heavy metal poisoning, such as by lead, arsenic, barium, mercury or aluminum finding their way into their brains in damaging amounts?

There seems to be no light in these child's eyes, as if they are not fully switched on and are in a semi-conscious state.

I find it quite a disturbing development, which hints are the potentially darker side to public health campaigns.
