"Reptilian" industries have the support of governments

Industries that take advantage of people and milk them unfairly, and industries that result in environmental degradation could be described as “reptilian” industries. Such industries usually work very closely with governments, who openly support them, result in large returns for the privileged few who pay off lawmakers, and who often operate at the expense of less destructive and parasitic enterprises.
