It can be difficult to overthrow unjust laws, so instead we undermine the belief in the assumptions that make the law appear reasonable. For this is what tyrannical rules seek to do. Make their tyranny seem like the rational response to a social problem, rather than the grab for control that it really represents.
Therefore, to overthrown such laws, or to inspire a boycott, we must undermine the false assumptions the tyrannical law is based upon. That way, if successful, the tyrannical laws will fall of their own accord.
