A sample of the spectrum of opinions on vaccine policy...

... from the most anti-vaccine to the most pro-vaccine (what is your preference?):

1. Ban all vaccines, the logic being they are “unavoidably unsafe” and unnecessary, and result in adverse effects that outweigh any good the may do. (Vaccination abolition position)

2. Make vaccines legal for adults to receive who can make an informed choice for their own health, but illegal to be given to children. (Informed consent position)

3. Make vaccines legal for everyone to receive, but ensure that no-one is bullied into receiving them or discriminated against for not receiving them, for themselves or their children. ("Moderate", non-discriminating, adult-freedom respecting position)

4. Discriminate against non-vaccinating parents by either not allowing their children to enter schools or not allowing their families to receive government benefits available to vaccinating parents, or both. This is based on the idea that the state knows what is best for the child and parents who disagree should be punished, and their child should suffer as well. (Government "nanny state" position, the position of the Australian Federal Government and the position of the state of Victoria, Australia and California, USA)

5. Force all vaccines of the government’s choosing onto all children, irrespective of parents wishes. (Totalitarian position, level 1)

6. Force all vaccines of the government’s choosing onto all members of the community, including adults. People who resist should be physically restrained and assaulted, if necessary, to ensure compliance. (Totalitarian position, level 2)
