People who believe they are smarter or better than most people could be called elitists, but if they have no interest in lording over other people and demanding they live according to their ideas they DO NOT present a problem.
The REALLY DANGEROUS ELITISTS are those who not only think they're better than everybody else, they also believe they have the right and MORAL DUTY to lord over them and tell them how to live.
These people believe they are BORN TO RULE and are somehow specially equipped to lord over other men.
It is this second group of sad souls that we must ensure never gains a position of power.
