It's easy to point the finger at someone who can't accept the law of sunk cost, but instead includes the price paid to get something, not realising that is perfectly irrelevant to the decision of whether to keep it or remove it, and call them irrational, but it's another thing not to fall pray to such "irrationality" oneself!
