Autism shares much in common with brain damage and can be hard to tell apart in some cases.
Mild autism can result in an "innerness" and quiet demeanor. These children can be placid, and keep to themselves.
More severe cases can result in a very disturbed child- literally out of phase with this physical dimension and troubled by much in it, specifically those things that are jarring, disharmonious and not in harmony with the natural world and universal spiritual principles operating through it.
This suggests a poor connection between the material body and the more spiritual elements of the self.
