People who can't accept alternative opinions to their own

It blows many people's minds that there exists some people who are willing to listen to both sides of a debate and then take a side opposed to their own.

But that's not possible, they say. Can't you see that you are wrong and am I right?  After all, all intelligent people agree with me, and those that don't are crackpots, conspiracy theorists, etc.
