The unwise use of the machine analogy by atheists

It's unwise to use machine analogies for describing the universe and its' component parts if we are arguing against the existence of a God.

The reason being, that the only true machines in existence, that we know of, are the creation of mankind- living, intelligent, conscious and emotional beings, much as God is posited to be.

So it would be foolish to describe living systems as mechanical unless we wish to invoke the concept of a creator of such "machines".  And this is something no self-respecting atheist would ever wish to do!
