Science is a modern idol and tends to be overrated by those with only a superficial knowledge of it, like most fields of knowledge are. No doubt, broadly defined, science is a wonderful tool with the power to bring to us great advances in knowledge, but we should not bow before it as the arbiter of all truth for it is not equipped to do that!
