Everything materialism cannot explain, or cannot measure, is thought of as illusory.
This is pure assumption, of course.
But it is believed by many, presumably to simplify their lives, and enable them to ignore things they would prefer did not exist!
Thankfully for the rest of us, this belief has no impact whatsoever on what is actually real, and will continue to be real, whether a certain segment of society believes it, or not!
