Anyone can be skeptical about things they don't believe
but very few are capable of applying that skepticism
to their own cherished beliefs.
That is why, when I read of "skeptics", I laugh,
because I know they are not real skeptics
but "true believers"
in what they hold dear,
and skeptical about what offends them!
And, my friends, this is the same for everyone,
whether they label themselves as "skeptics" or not.
So if we have a modicum of self-knowledge
we will never call ourselves a "skeptic"
because we are ALL just skeptical
about the things we don't believe
and generally very accommodating
with the things we do!
