If a person truly believes that free will is an illusion, and that physical processes alone determine their destiny...

... with consciousness only along for the ride, then all anxiety should fade away...

...And if it doesn't fade away, then that person hasn't truly done away with a belief in free will!

After all, it is our emotions that reveal our core beliefs, not the things we tell ourselves, which may be steeped in self-delusion.

So, unless someone is deeply at ease at all times, as they know everything that happens is predetermined and totally out of their hands, then they have not given up on free will!
