My use of the word "cult"

When I use the word cult, I use it to describe an identifiable group of people with a shared set of beliefs.

I don't necessarily use as a disparaging term, but perhaps ironically, to describe people who accept extreme, but common, beliefs, which they think are reasonable, because so many others believe them.
