If people were seriously "anti-science" they'd be lined up outside chemistry labs...

Holding signs that said things like: "no synthesis", and "leave creating to God" and "fire is enough for us"...

But instead what we see is a scientific skepticism, driven by a scepticism with the institutions of science, with its funding and perceived control by business interests, not always at the public's benefit.
