Every exit out of the matrix is an idea...
And every one of these ideas has been "discredited" or "debunked" by someone with their mind firmly esconsed in the matrix.
These people often describe themselves as "skeptics".
They are certainly materialists and may belong to one of the dominant cults of our society- scientism, or some other dogmatic belief system, based on a top down model of authority, where the individual becomes only an identity-less "repeater".
These self-appointed gatekeepers are ever on the lookout for ideas that come from outside the authority structure they place blind faith in, so they can destroy them and return to their comfortable belief system safe in the knowledge they are right, because they repeat the words of the appropriate authority, who is not to be questioned.
