I trusted dentists. They filled my mouth with mercury. I trusted a
mechanic. He said repairs on my car were worth more than the car and to
retire it. It turned out to be a $20 repair job that I did myself and
the car still goes well 2 years on. They are two example of bad advice
from "experts".
It pays to question things and not take anything at face value, and thanks to the internet there's no excuse not to.
