To believe that institutional science is heavily influenced by politics and money-making is not to be anti-science. Instead, it is one’s love of good, socially positive science that makes one critical of such things. Also, being critical and looking closely at areas of research that are said to have proved something that they haven’t isn’t due to anti-science sentiments but instead because any misuse of the term “science” reduces public confidence is other sciences that may be sound.
The point about science isn't just to do good research and analyze your data correctly, it's also about the direction the science takes and exactly why it's taking that direction. Exactly who is it serving and what assumptions are being made that make one think this is the best direction science can take and are there other directions that may serve the human race more?
