I do not believe I am ever a "victim of disease" so why would I ever get a vaccination to protect myself against something I brought on myself?
For those who do see themselves as victims of disease (as part of a belief in an "uncaring" universe- a concept created by science) then they would be wise to get all the vaccines they can, in the case where the vaccine is judged safer than the risk of getting the associated disease.
I understand the idea that disease is meaningful, and that it occurs for reasons of our own behavior, is a foreign one to many people, but that's just because they've been brainwashed by the teachings of science, which sees disease as a foreign invader that we have little say in whether it takes control of our body or not.
The acceptance that illness happens for a reason, or for many reasons (physical and/or emotional), does not make the experience of the illness any more enjoyable, but it may send us on a search in a different direction for a cure than if we see it as purely a foreign invader.
Having said this, anyone who feels at risk of disease when there is pandemic happening would be wise to consider receiving a vaccine, if one is available, if they believe in its safety and effectiveness.
I say this because my view is that we should take advantage of any beliefs we hold to either avoid or deal with illness. If we expect vaccines to work then most likely they will. That's the power of belief for you. However, we shouldn't expect those who don't have faith in the safety and effectiveness of vaccines to take them, however. For these folk, other approaches they believe in need to be used.
