When you learn about the history of the various institutions in the west you become more comfortable holding a dissenting view.
The reason for this is that the sheer level of corruption and perversion of the public good that has gone in the construction of many of these institutions means we will never view them again as infallible, nor will we pay too much mind to what they say is truth.
Institutional truth is self-serving while being dressed up as the public good. It is the brainwashing of its adherents speaking, not some universal truth!
