A lot of people say they don't deal in "beliefs",
they only deal in "facts".
But the thing is: beliefs ARE facts, to those who hold them.
Beliefs are in actuality:
THOSE THINGS WE DEEM TO BE TRUE.
Nobody belies in anything they don't think is a fact.
No matter how its status as a "fact" has been proven to us.
Those "facts" may be nebulous such as: Life is good
or they may be simple such as: I enjoy beer.
Of course, not only are "facts" disputed amongst people
they are also up for grabs in our personal life.
For example, a belief that Toyota's are reliable
may be replaced with a belief Toyota's are unreliable
if we happen to own a dud Toyota that needs lots of work.
Beliefs are always up for grabs
but there are those
we are most emotionally attached to
which we are loathe to change-
unless they become totally unworkable in practice
as in: "what the fuck just happened?"
do we look at and change them!
