Mans brutality has become institutionalised

Mans brutality to animals, plants
  and the rest of nature,
    is dressed up as "practicality"
   and “common sense”.
 It is anything but.

Instead, it is the hideous face
    of unconsciousness
 that has become a part of our institutions
so that many people can't even see it
  for what it is anymore!
