If the Council of Nicaea had kept Jesus' Sermon on the Mount
and burnt the rest of the Bible
it may have has a positive effect on humanity, thenceforth.
The reason being: many people have used other statements
in that compilation of writings we call The Bible
to do terrible deeds and to be thoroughly hateful
and discriminatory towards others.
That would have been very hard to do
if they only had the Sermon on the Mount to go by
and would have made it impossible to use scripture
to justify carrying out their evil deeds!
