Power and the Self

If true power lay outside the individual
  rather than within,
 then we truly would be powerless.

But what would be the use of that?

For if power does not lie with the Self
   then there is effectively no power at all,
    in the universe.

For we are each and all, the Self,
  as there can be no other!
